Hello,
I will be moving to Brooksville next year. Does anyone here have experience with the hospitals in that area. There is a hospital in brooksville and one in springhill.
Would like to know the working conditions.
Thanks, Nicole

I hear Brooksville's a nice area, but as I'm not that familiar with that area, all I can offer you is a link. About halfway down are a couple of hospitals listed. I don't know anyone who works at them, sorry.

I work both facilities, RN pay is approx 24-25 hr for relatively new nurses. They offer 2.50 night diff and 1.00 weekend diff. nurse to patient ratio is about 5-7 pt to one nurse. pool pays 26.00 hr plus shift diff. Of course, probably more for more experience. love it here

We've had our holiday home in the area for years & adore it hence the reason I'm sitting my N-CLEX on 2nd August. However, I was told that none of the local hospitals were geared up for foreign nurses so I wouldn't be able to get a job there & that I'd be better getting a job in Tampa & working out that contract first - likely to be 12 months.
Obviously this doesn't apply to all you US trained nurses but I would be interested to know if any of you know otherwise as I've not yet gone past the point of no return with the agency yet.

Hello Nicole,
I work at Brooksville Regional. Have worked at all three of the local hospitals and have liked Brooksville the best. Spring Hill Regional and Brooksville Regional are sister hospitals owned by the same company.
What area of nursing are you in?

Brooksville and Spring Hill Regional Hospitals (I currently work for Hernando Healthcare) would be interested in your application and in meeting you. "Foriegn" nurses are welcome!!
Come and apply!
