What do you think about the program and it not being accredited yet. Do you think it could be? Does it affect you from getting potential jobs? I'm just curious.

The accreditation visit is in October. So if you are considering the school for January wait until after October and check back.

I would highly recommend the other BSN programs within the state. Brand new programs, even if accredited, tend to have growing pains...

I am currently in the general BSN program at Brookline College. I started May of 2012 and I transferred by other degree rather easily into the program. Before I enrolled though, I did my homework on a lot of nursing programs and though it is relatively new and has yet to receive an accreditation from NLNAC, I chose to pursue it because it was the right fit for me. As with all new programs, there are pros and cons, but so far, my experience has been good. The one prominent positive I will note about the school is, it is always willing to work with the student and communicate openly with them.

With that said, if you are hesitant about for-profit schools, I suggest you really do your research. They are expensive and you will more than likely have to pay for out of pocket or incur private loans in order to cover the costs that federal loans do not cover. However, I figured this was the price you pay for not having to sit on a wait list for 2-3 years that you see with the state and non-profit schools. I also realized the risk I take with a school that is not accredited with NLNAC. However, I have seen two other similar for-profit schools get accredited, so I have high hopes for this program.
