Nursing Students School Programs

Hey guys, I know this may be too early but am just curious to know where everyone is at. Am pregnant at the moment so that is the reason I didn't take dosage cal. and applied this Spring...but I believe everything works out for good.

Perquisites + support classes = Done

HESI exam = 87.6 Will likely retake it for a higher grade

Medicals = Done

Dosage calculations = Not taken

I kind of had the idea about the sample essay but now I am super nervous about the interview tomorrow because I’m not good at speaking front of people?

I’m not either. I posted the link for the Zoom meeting at 6! Hop on and we can all take turns answering interview questions!

I'm getting on Zoom!

Did anyone else here apply to El Centro/North Lake?

Good luck in your interviews today & tomorrow!

Had my interview today. The nervousness overcame me on the first question, and I was the first person, so I never answered the question fully. On the second I think I may have redeemed myself a little, but I have no clue what to expect.

How did ya'll's interviews go?

For the record, I don't think that anyone will be super satisfied with their interview. That's just how these things go when you have 8 people watching you answer. No one get discouraged!

I’m sure you sounded just fine. Do you mind me asking you what questions they asked you? My interview is tomorrow.

Haha, thank you, but I really did lose my way on my first question. All I can do is wait.

1. What is nursing to you and why do you want to become a nurse?

2. Describe a time that you have confronted a problem, and how did you solve that problem?

Both questions were very similar to the two I just wrote, but the wording was different. Point is, be prepared to be asked in-depth questions on a moments notice. If you are not sure how to answer, don't say "ummm" or anything at all, just think silently, then respond. Also, make sure to keep your eye on the camera when responding, and not to be fidgety.

I agree, @Benjamin Hampton I don’t think anyone is ever happy with an interview. I don’t think mine was bad but of course it could have been better.

edit: incorrect information!

Hi all, I just interviewed this morning! Now that that is over, who else is trying to plan things to keep them busy until Tuesday?? The anticipation is going to kill me LOL
