Congratulations to everyone! I also received an invitation to interview today. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about the professional writing sample?

Does everyone that applies get an interview? Does the interview help them decide who to choose for the final 40? I know at Brookhaven, they offer a mock interview session. As far as the writing sample, I think they are mainly checking for spelling, grammar, critical thinking, ect. Don't quote me on that, but by reading other threads, this is what I gathered. I'm so excited for everyone!

The top 50 are invited to the interview. You can earn up to 10 more points from the interview questions, and 5 from the personal writing sample according to the BH website. I'm not 100% sure, but I think we are asked 2 questions. Based on your answers, each one is rated and given a score between 1-5. I haven't heard anything about the writing sample yet. I just assume it will be scored the same way. These points are then added to your original points, and the top 40 are accepted. This is how I understood it, I could be wrong.

We should go neutral, or black and white. Suit might just be a little heavy on me. I want to be comfortable and still look professional without too much effort. I'm thinking about a nice blouse, a pair of slacks, and my favorite taupe shoes. No statement jewelry. I also think a sheath dress will be nice, too. I don't think fancy purses would work. Pick the most elegant handbag you own, or just a folder. Have one or two good pens, since we'll be doing essay. I'll do the least makeup as possible, just want to look fresh and confident. Maybe a mini picture of my toddler daughter will keep my from sweating while waiting for the interview, lol.

Good lord I'm nervous just about scheduling the interview, I can't even imagine how it will be once I'm there!

Me too! I am praying that my nerves don't get the best of me during the interview but the fact that others will also be in there with me will take off some of the pressure.
