Brookhaven College Nursing Program Fall 2014

Published

Hi everyone, I haven't seen any thread about BHC Fall '14 so I made one! I am applying this February at Brookhaven community college for Fall 2014. I took Hesi last year for trial and I will be taking the Hesi for real again this February and I have been studying really hard this Winter break! Goodluck everyone, if I do not get accepted I have plan B which to go ahead and try to apply in UTA.

Almost finished in all precourses needed just Micro and death dying this Spring but they are not counted this application so I am hoping to do well in Hesi!

Your points are really good. Good luck!

I submitted my application with 27.3 points last week. I'm really nervous after seeing everyone's points. I read through a thread from last year and saw someone was accepted with 27.5 points. I'm hoping the range is around the same this semester. They accept more people in the fall. Are any of you preparing for the interview questions? If so, how? I read there is a mock interview at Brookhaven.

I haven't prepared for the interview yet.. I suppose I'd like to have one first. lol Oh and one of the ladies in the nursing dept told me last semester dropped down to 26 points. I'm crossing my fingers this is the case this semester! :)

I'm crossing my fingers, toes, legs, arms, and anything else I can manage to get into a twisted position. Good Luck to you. How many points are you starting with, If you don't mind me asking?

I'm sorry, I just read your previous post about your points. LOL

Me too! I'm so stressed! :/ good luck girl!

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY (Well one of them LOL) Good luck everyone!! Last year I received an email to verify my email address. I haven't gotten one this year. How about any of you?

No, I haven't received anything either!! Lol good luck to you!! :)

Good luck everyone who has applied! I was in your shoes 2 years ago anxiously waiting to hear if I had enough points for an interview!!

Thank You So MUCH!!! How was your process experience?

At the time it seemed like it took FOREVER to hear about interviews and such but now looking back on it, it went by quick!

I believe I had 27 or 28 points when I applied. The only class I was missing was End of Life. We didn't do the professional writing sample though, just an interview. After the interview it took them a week or two to email me with acceptance into the program :)

If you are selected for an interview, just think of it this way: they ask the top 70 students (points wise) to do an interview/writing sample and from those 70 they admit 60 student into the program. So, if you are selected for an interview your odds of being accepted are pretty high - you only have out rank 10 other people with your total points!

LOL!! So TRUE!! I think I'm able to pull that off. It's funny that is the only class I'm missing also. It's so hard to get into that class. Thank you again for the support. Hope tomorrow I can share good news.
