Hi everyone. Im currently in my second semester in the nursing program here at brookdale. If anyone has any questions, feel free to post them and I will answer them to the best of my ability.

We didn’t go into detail about how long each track wait list is. I’m hoping one starts sooner haha. She seemed like she was in a rush so I kept it brief. She said I should here something in like 4-6 weeks from her about taking that exam (not the college issued one). And that the wait list is about 2 years. I would feel more assured if I knew for sure I was getting in after 2 years. I’m going to try and apply to other nursing programs. I was rejected from my county’s cc but mine is super competitive. I’m going to keep applying tho

I went to the information session in March 2019 and after that was placed on the waiting list. I just received my letter of acceptance to the Spring 2020. The information I received at that last session was that the wait list was only 2 semesters long, so one year. It could change at anytime, but I think they say 2 years to be safe.

thank you nursenell. I am attending info session end of this month. I also have the cna course left which I will take the 2 week course in January. Do u have all of ur prereqs completed? I wonder if I will still have to wait a year even though I will be done with all my prereqs in Jan 2020.

Hi MayGirl2013,

You will probably have to wait a year. They are already filling up the seats for Spring 2020 now. What track did you decide on at the information session? That also affects your wait, I know the daytime track has the longest wait list.

I am thinking of doing the online track.

I am currently a student at Brookdale attempting to get into the nursing program is there any tips that can be helpful before I take my TEAs exam, more specifically the science portion (I have a hard time retaining the information).

ATI TEAS book is a great resource to study from. The practice tests in the book are presented in the same format as the actual test, so you will not be surprised. I took the practice tests first to find out my weak areas and spent more time studying those. I also did a bunch of additional practice questions that I could find online. Good thing about brookdale TEAS, you only need a 58 to pass so even if you don’t do well on one section you can still pass if you do ok on the rest.

I wanted to find out what the 2 week long chha course that Brookdale offers entails. From your experience what is the breakdown of the 2 weeks- how many days are in class vs In a healthcare setting? Thanks!

I am attending an info session for the nursing program at the end of March. Before going I wanted to know which waiting list is the best because I do not want to wait too long but I am also trying to avoid online because I am not a big fan of taking online classes.

Does anybody know if introduction to psychology taken in a different state will be transferable to BCC? In my old state, there was no such thing as into to psychology 1 and 2...there was only 1 course offered that covers the same materials as these two class.

Does anyone know the entire list of all the pre-requisites for the program?
