Bristol Community College Fall 2014

Published

Hi! I'm applying to BCC for fall 2014 and am looking to see if there is anyone else out there doing the same. My application is in and I am taking the TEAS test this weekend - so nervous! Don't know what to expect. Any insight?

I am apply for the fall. This will be my second year applying. I got on the wait list last year. I stalked my mail box hoping that I would have gotten a letter saying that someone didn't take their seat but it was not my time I guess. I like to think that things happen for a reason. To be completely honest, I want it even more now. Good luck, I hope you get in the first time around but if you don't..."get up, dust yourself off" and try again next year. The wait will drive you crazy but try your hardest to keep yourself occupied with other things. The only thing I know for sure is BCC is VERY competitive but all we can do is try. Once again, best of luck and I'll be praying for us. :)

If u don't mind me asking, did you have all your pre-reqs done? And what were your GPA & TEAS score? Im not sure what carries the most weight when being reviewed for consideration. I have all my pre-reqs done, and I'm taking the TEAS Thursday. My BCC GPA is 4.0, cumulative from prior school is 3.85.

I just went to the required health science info session. They informed us that as long as you pass the teas V with a 50 or above it really doesn't matter the actual grade. You don't need all your pre-reqs done just the required classes indicated on the schools web site. You must attend one of the info sessions or I think your application will be incomplete. I personally think you'll get in, you have a great GPA, so don't you worry. Good luck on your TEAS tomorrow. :)

I also applied for Fall 2014. I am going CRAZY waiting to find out! I have all my pre-reqs done and finishing up my last 4 "general courses." My plan is to have every class completed before the start of the fall so that way if I do get accepted (fingers crossed) I can just focus on the Nursing program. Have you guys heard a time frame roughly about when we should hear? I heard they start sending out the acceptance letter middle to late March. I also heard from someone else that the week of Spring break is a common time. I can't wait!!! I have worked my butt off and can't wait to be able to pursue my dream! I was also informed that they didn't really look at the score you received on your TEAS test, just that you actually passed it. I wish both of you the best of luck and I'm glad to know I found others who I can talk about it with! =)

Good luck Lexbeex!!! After this semester I have all of the general classes done as well. Is hasn't even been a week and I am already anxious. During the health science info session they said that they are hoping to start sending out letters on March 14th. All we can do now is wait. Good luck to ALL. :)

Thanks xlucky7x good luck to you also and to you too tuukkarn! Oh that would be absolutely AMAZING if they started to send them out then! I was told that it took so long last year because they were waiting on some type of accreditation for the eHealth program. I am going on vacation the week of spring break and I told my husband I am going to be like a nut that week! Did you guys apply for the traditional or eHealth? I put first choice as traditional 2nd choice as eHealth.

I put eHealth as my first choice, it fits in better with my life. That makes me really nervous though because they only accept 24 people in eHealth so I think that decreases my chances a little.

I hear you I feel like all us nursing applicants are a bag of nerves. =( I just keep trying to remind myself to stay positive and hope for the best! Do you know a lot of other people that are applying this year? I only personally know one other girl and then when I came across this post the other night I was like oh thank god some more people to chat with that are going through the same thing I am trying to "patiently" wait.

I think there may be a couple of people applying from my micro class last semester but I'm not sure. It is nice to have some people to chat with about it. My advise would be try not to worry and stay positive. Enjoy time with your hubby, family, and friends while you can...because when you DO get in this fall you'll be really busy. :)

You got that right our lives will be eat sleep breath NURSING lol which I am totally okay with. =) Do you know what they mean on last years forum when they talk about checking the last audit times on degree works? Im wondering if they do them periodically or if they do it when they are reviewing our info.

I'm not sure about the degree audits. I think it updates every time they review our info. I think there is a glitch though, mine updates daily. I think that before they send out letters your major will change in degree works.
