Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

There isn't any site to help you gather the documents you need. All the information you need are on the application form. Every bit of the requirements you need to obtain an LOE is written clearly on each page of the form. Please go to the ahpra website and look for internationally qualified nurses. In here are all the forms you need. I know it's tough starting out, but if you READ, then you'll know what I'm saying.

Hi, I am going to start my bridging program at Ihna, Melbourne from September 12 .

Can anyone please suggest me any pathology lab in Melbourne where I can get my serology tests done at a cheaper price?

Thanks in advance

You can also visit this thread. It has tons of information on schools, bp's, waiting times and what not.

I hear IHNA though offers its course for 10900 AUD with free accommodation for the 4 weeks theory period. As for the evaluation of your credentials, I guess it won't take too long as what it used to. They issue out LOE as early as 3-4 weeks nowadays.

thank you for the information... i actually checked the schools offering the courses and so far inha just cost around 11450. im still looking for other options though, especially that i still have to pass my papers for evaluation.thank you again.

i dont have my eligibility letter at the moment, so i am not sure when it will be released if i will start sending my documents to ahpra this week

Hi guys! I decided not to go with Philman because of the negative feedback about them. By the way, I have started collecting my documents for APHRA and I would like to enroll in Monash University. :) I am hoping that I could join their November intake. Anyone who is on the same boat? Just one question, for the course description do we need to request a separate document for that, or would the TOR itself suffice?

Hi Rinkishikika BSN RN :) Are you still up for Nov '16 intake @ Monash?

Hi! I suggest you try select a school first before worrying for the visa. Usually the school will recommend you for the type of visa they require. Goodluck! I am joining Monash University April intake 2016.

Hi SimpleClaudia, Im a newbie user in here.. :) can i ask you? Have you finished your BP @MonashUni? What were the questions they have asked you before paying your fees, remember their Skype Interview? I am planning to take my BP on November. Please enlighten me on what questions/scope they'll be asking... please... thank you!

Hi ChiRNOz!

I decided to take IHNA Perth for September. The process was quite fast. Now I'm only awaiting the second dose of my vaccines and I'm good to go. All the best for your LOE! It will come soon, claim it! :D
