Brenau University Part-time BSN Spring 2012

I just received my acceptance letter to Georgia's one and only part-time BSN program at Brenau University! I'm excited to be able to finally plan for nursing school and would like to see if any of my future classmates are on here. I think it would be great to be able to keep each other informed and help get ready. Other than visiting the campus once to take the Kaplan exam, I don't know anything about the staff, schedule, etc., but I'd love to find out!

Have you guys heard anything about financial aid? Or do you think we will get something in the packet later on..?

If you did your FAFSA and listed Brenau, then I was told by a Brenau aid councelor that we will get an award letter in the mail. When I called, she said they were only dealing with Fall semester students.

Of course, she said to go ahead and apply for any scholarships you can find...

I haven't applied to any yet. It's hard to find any that look legitimate or that look like I stand a chance to get. I'm hoping that there are some to apply to in our packet! I'll keep looking though...

As an update: I was told by Brenau that we should be getting our orientation packages by October.

I received my packet as well!

Are ya'll getting your PPD tests, drug tests, immunizations, ect. done?

It's quite a bit to get done in a few weeks! (I have run into a few bumps in the road too :/)

Anyways..Hope ya'll are doing well :)

Our actual orientation is the first weekend in December I believe! I was so confused with thinking orientation was the 8th :/

Im new to this website.. Im planning to apply for the full-time BSN program but not sure how competitive it is. Since you all have already been accepted, could you give me your stats. I want to know what my chances are on getting accepted. Any response is appreciated..

Hi lilyho90 , my gpa is a 3.56 and Kaplan test was 64. Im not sure what my science gpa is . I got A's on my A&p and micro though ! Good luck to you and hope this helps!!!!!

My nursing gpa was a 3.8, my gpa was only a 3.2 (not the highest), and I scored an 87 on the Kaplan.
