Brenau Part-time Spring 2014

Published

Is anyone else applying for the part-time Spring 2014 term? Any full-time applicants?

I am so excited about started the nursing program, congrats to everyone. I just wanted to give everyone out there that has not take Patho yet a word of advise. I am taking it right now and had always heard you need to know the first 5 chapters before class starts. I want to say this has made a world of difference, but my suggestion is to know the first 10 chapters before class starts. I have been in class for 3 wks now and we are already expected to read and know the first 10. Good luck to everyone and I am so excited to meet all of you in person.

Hey jharris3, what is the name / version, etc. for that Patho book?

Thanks for the heads up jharris!!

I have to say it again that I am too excited!! I have a question about the background check and blood test that may be stupid. Are we getting both of them on our own or are they going to give us places to get them done at? Also, if anyone would like to start a Facebook group for our class, let me know and I wouldn't mind starting it up.

Sorry guys, I meant to say drug test and not blood test. I was typing on my phone and didn't watch what I pressed!

Thank you jharris3! I'll check that out on Amazon.

For anyone that is interested, there is a retired pathologist that teaches a free pathophysiology course. It is intended for medical students. But, heck it is free. You can attend live or view the archives. He speaks very clearly and is very interesting. I think Dr. Menarcik is his name. He has an interesting philosophy that medical training should be free so that bright minds can access the information regardless of financial means. Just a warning, he does swear sometimes. Usually he is talking about politicians or lawyers when he swears.

He also has a YouTube channel. I think it is called washington deceipt. He isn't shy about sharing his opinions.

Thank you ladies! Any advice is welcomed! I will definitely look into the book and the class. I hope that version of the book doesn't change for the next year.

Ummnasim, I personally like the Facebook idea. :)

Im good with the facebook idea too. oh and FYI I recently found two groups that I joined on FB, BANS which is Brenau Association of Nursing students, its our school chapter of National Student Nurses Association (NSNA). I also joined NSNA, it is a $35 dollar joiner fee. The 2nd group on fb is GANS which is the Georgia Association of Nursing Students...

CONGATS TO YOU ALL!.. I will be in doing the samething you did.. sitting on pins and needles in another year or so. Wish you all the BEST.
