Is there anyone applying to BRCC's nursing program for Fall 2016? I would like to talk to people who are so I don't feel so lonely.
You get the titers done to see if you are immune to the vaccines you should have received as a child. Most people are immune unless they never got the shots or for some reason they didn't have enough antibodies to show positive immunity. If your titer comes back negative, then you'll get the shots. You don't get both at the same time. I was immune to everything.
I would think not. Titers are only used to see if an individual is immune to a certain disease. They can become immune via a vaccine or by contracting the disease and developing antibodies that way. The school accepts the titers as "proof" so that we won't have to go and get booster shots for all that stuff. If you just recently got the shot, there's no reason to check you for immunity against Hep B

Call RKM in Livingston. It's a sliding scale clinic. Bring a check stub or two when you go. My PCP has been switched to the doctor who works there. I love them. I paid $100 for all of my titers, TB test, and CBC.
