BRCC Nursing Applicants for Fall 2014

Hey everyone! I just turned in my application for the Fall of 2014 a couple of days ago. I take the HESI in a little over a week! I am super nervous and full of anxiety, haha. I was just wondering what GPA everybody else is applying with and how many pre-reqs were taken at BRCC

@fawkesphoenix I too have just turned in my app. There's another thread under 2013 acceptance letters that will have the info you are looking for as far as gpa.. etc. I am currently taking math 101 and re taking psych 201 because i got a b in it like 2 semesters ago. Last go round, the lowest gpa they accepted into the program was a 3.1, that may or may not have anything to do with our process this year it really just depends on the pool of people who apply. i have taken psych 202 and a few other co reqs.

Hi! I applied as well. I took my HESI a week ago and made an 86. Super disappointed in myself (The content wasn't hard but it was time management for me. I felt like I didn't have enough time.) I believe my GPA is a 3.81 (based on BRCC GPA calculator).

My grades are:

Math-A

Art-A

English-A

A&P- A

Psych-B

What was your GPA and HESI score?

Yea, the HESI was very long- took me all of the allotted three hours to take it.

I'm applying with a 3.5 GPA and a 92% on the HESI. I heard gpa was more heavily weighted, and you have a great gpa- so that's awesome! Did you take all your classes at BRCC?

That's a great score on the HESI. Yes, all of my classes were taken at BRCC. You?

Hi everyone! I am applying this year as well. I have 4 A's and 1 B. I scored an 87% on the Hesi last week. I really hope I get in. Kinda disappointed in my Hesi score, but I think I still have a chance. Also, 4/5 classes were taken at BRCC. 1 class was taken at LSU. I have a friend who's graduating from their program this May. She had a 92% on the Hesi and 4 A's and 1 B. 2 classes she took were from another school - so she only had 3 classes from BRCC. Hope this helps.

I'm disappointed in my HESI score too. I still think we have a pretty good chance. June seems like forever!

Are you taking any classes this summer? I've decided to take the summer off. I have micro and statistics scheduled for the Fall.
