Can this lead to increased aspiration and could switchong to another class of BP med help decrease aspiration?

1). Cough does not lead to aspiration. It, in fact, provides protection from it.
2). Cough is an indication for switching one ACEI to another one, but not for completely stopping them. It is unpleasant but quite harmless side effect, and the only one reason to fight it is that patients don't like it and may stop taking the med altogether.
