Hello Folks,
I would like to ask an advice with the process of getting a registration as a Nurse to work in Australia.
Do i still need to enroll myself in BP and wait for 2-3 months before i could legally practice my profession as a nurse?
or i will just apply for assessment registration from AHPRA?
I as far as i know that i should have my IELTS with the band score of 7 and have extensive experience as an RN.
I am a BSN RN, originally form the Philippines. Currently holding Philippines RN, US RN and Specialization in Geriatrics Licenses.
Please advise, your opinion, comment and advice are highly appreciated.
Thanks,

Have you worked in the US?
Yes i am working and just passed my Geriatric specialization here in California.
A lot will depend on AHPRA and your application, they may still require some course but really only way to find out is apply to them
Ok so they may or may not consider it, but it wouldn't hurt to apply, maybe i have a greater chance to get qualified without the BP, it is too expensive.
Thank you so much for your reply and God bless!

I'm not sure if you are planning to emigrate or just to work there for some time. But I would suggest to obtain a license first.

One of the requirements is passing IELTS with a score of 7 or higher in all components. So English test is your first step.
After you get your license you can apply for modified skills assessment with http://www.anmc.org.au/
The last step is getting a visa. There different options available based on your situation.
