Update: due to Covid 19, the GRE IS NOT REQUIRED! However, if you do decide not to give any scores, they said that means there will be more emphasis placed on grades and the other parts of your application.

does anyone know how competitive it is? any statistics?

@aspiring NP that's a good question and I'm actually not sure. I know they usually answer phone calls if you want to know how many applications they get versus how many they accept and etc

Hi all! I am also hoping to apply to the direct entry masters (depends if I can get my last letter of rec in by the deadline...) Did you end up finding out how competitive the program is?

Hello, I had an interview with the program. They interview 80 people per specialty and accept 8 per specialty. Soooo very competitive

Whaaaaa??? I didn't realize they only accepted 10 percent of the people they interview. I thought it was at least 30 percent considering how small the pool of people they interview is

Thanks for your post @bnicoletti! Do you mind me asking what specialty you applied for? I applied to the FNP track and was told there were no interviews for that speciality when I attended a virtual webinar this Summer.

What... I didn't know it was that competitive...that's scary. Does anyone know how many people applied?

I also had an interview for the FNP program. They only accept 8 people??

I apologize, I should have been more specific. I interviewed for the DE-DNP program for the FNP speciality. I do not know if the acceptance rate is the same for the DE-Masters NP Program. I interviewed with Sean and what he told me is:

cohort size 40-50

speciality size: 8 students per speciality 

So these stats could be TOTALLY different for the Direct Entry Masters program.
