Hi,
If you are a current student in the Boston College Direct Entry program, would you mind sharing where you took your prerequisites? I'm trying to figure out if it's really okay to take them at community colleges. Also, will they really accept you before you've finished all of them? Is it okay to still have one or two to take the summer before the program begins?
Thank you!

I'm a first year Masters Entry student at Boston College. I took microbiology at Bunker Hill Community College and A&P I & II as well as Physiological Chemistry at UMass Boston. I wouldn't stress too much as to where to take it. I don't think it matters. I'd go for community colleges...MUCH cheaper. Good luck!

Hi. How are you? I am applying to the BC masters entry program. I have a GPA of 3.54 and A's on all prereqs, and also 650 and 660 on GRE. Do you think I have a chance?

Hi. I actually applied to and got into UNH's direct entry program, but I currently live in MA (work in Cambridge) and took all my pre-reqs at Bunker Hill. Ditto the previous poster...much cheaper! And their schedules are very accommodating....they have day, night and weekend classes so you shouldnt have a problem fitting the class into your schedule.
I took A&P I and II there, Microbio and stats.
Hi nprtobe,
Sounds like you have a good chance to me. Try not to stress! Easier said than done though...Good luck!

Hello all,
I was just accepted to the BC masters entry program. I am currently taking A&P II and micro for the spring 2009 semester. I am taking orgo over the summer. I, however, just got an email saying that all prerequisites need to be done by the end of May. Is it true that I cannot take a prereq over the summer? Also, what do current students think of the program. I am super excited but it also seems extremely intense, and i;m a little scared!
Thanks so much
