Hi , Creating this thread for anyone applying for Spring 2021 at BMCC . I didn’t get in last round so will plan to sit the HESI in December hopefully . Not sure what my PCI is but I got A’s in everything except AP1 which I got a B in . Please share tips or info so we can help each other . I’m in my 40’s and I’ve young kids so this is definitely a career change for me !
With all due respect, did you not see that I mentioned how I’m retaking 3 science courses in the third paragraph or were you ready to focus on the pejorative aspects of what I divulged? ????
CHEM 122 was not apart of the PCI calculation for the day program when I applied. Nor is it a requirement for an Associate degree in Nursing at BMCC. Chem 122 was a required class for me to finish in order to complete my Associate in Science degree this past Summer semester at BMCC.
Aforementioned in my previous post, I’ve made the decision to start at my new senior school (in the Spring) which I was accepted to earlier this year, but I was still indecisive about what direction I wanted to go. I’M RETAKING 3 SCIENCE COURSES THIS SEMESTER (OF COURSE CHEM 122 INCLUDED) in order to increase my likely hood to be accepted to the BSN program in May.

To subjoin to my post above, I don’t recall asking the group for advisement with classes nor general advice. I’m certain my questions in the last paragraph of my original post were directed toward inquiring the interest and direction of others along the journey.
@ladyinwaiting appreciate your insight . I took my AP 1 class 3 semesters ago so I’m not sure he would/could change it now . I’m going to start looking at private schools and take a loan if I have to . I would retake if I could , I definitely could do better on it but not sure that’s an option at BMCC . Heard from the nursing dept today - they are not sure if HESI will be administered in December so admittance would again be based on straight up grades . Unsure how to proceed , maybe move in a different direction would be good for now . I’ve 3 kids 12, 9 and 3 and a husband who is working full time - not a complaint but with NYC public school looking very likely to go remote soon it means less time for studying !! wish I did all this when I was young LOL ?
Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well and being safe.
I am applying for Spring 2021 at BMCC as well and hopefully take the HESI in December. I feel like that I have a good GPA on my prereqs but I fear HESI so much. I got A on all my prereqs except Psy 100 which is A-.
because I am so afraid of the HESI I want to apply for another college as well but I don't know if I can apply for 2 programs at the same time. I would love to apply to Laguardia CC. Does anyone know if it is possible to apply to BMCC and LGCC at the same time?
Thank You! For those who did not get in yet, don't give up. Nurse is a hard and rough career and that start in college and I am confident that we will overcome all the things that we are struggling with!
Hello all,
I am applying to the nursing program for Spring 2021 at BMCC. I have a 3.89 GPA in the pre reqs taken at BMCC and a 3.93 cumulative GPA. Here's the thing....I attended another college about several years ago and did poorly. I'm stressing out because I'm hoping they see my grades have improved but I don't know if they will hold my previous grades against me. Does anyone know anyone that has been in this situation before?
I submitted my NPAC last week, she said she would be reaching out soon, has anyone heard anything?
