What books (name, author, & edition) are you using for your nursing courses? I know that alot of program require you to buy most, if not all, of your books the first quarter/semester. Just curious!

We are using:
1) Fundamentals of Nursing, The Art & Science of Nursing Care by Taylor and Lillis (Lippincott)
2) Pharmacology and the Nursing Process by Lilley and Aucker
3) A Manual of Laboratory and Diagnostic Tests by Frances Fischbach
4) Clinical Applications of Nursing Diagnosis: Adult, Child, Women's, Psychiatric, Gerontic, and Home Health Considerations by Helen C. Cox
5) Physical Examination & Health Assessment by Carolyn Jarvis
6) Mosby's Medical Dictionary
7) The Nurses PDR.
I have also bought various NCLEX review books to help me learn the style of testing as all my instructors follow that format closely.
This is my first semester of a 2 year ADN program at a community college.

If you can, try to get your books used or even older editions, you'll save big bucks. I learned this the hard way, but the info does not change that much from edition to edition. I have been using a med-surg text for two semesters that lists for $90 and I found an older edition on http://www.amazon.com which is about four years old for $8.00 and I'm getting through the course fine with it.
