Dianacs,
I just finished reading this book and I truly enjoyed it. I was captured by the depth of Barbara Ravage's detail and research on burns. As a nursing student, I was thrust into another world of nursing that I would never have considered. I would like to hear what some of our burn nurses have to say about this book and the information about burn units.
Highly recommended!
I just picked this up at the library. I was going to wait until I had finished the book to post about it, but I couldn't wait. It's really, really interesting for those of you who are interested in the burn unit and what goes on there. It also covers some of the history of burn treatment.
Right On. I've worked in burns for 15 years and the book is accurate. I enjoyed reading it and her perspective as an "outsider" was precise. Also enjoyed the historical information about burn care. Highly recommended for other burn nurses.
