Please help me generate a list of questions to ask my lawyer regarding entering into this process. I am working in a state other than the one who has been investigating me. The state I work in is a compact state but the one with the investigation is not. They have given me 2 1/2 weeks to enter the program and have yet to issue me a formal letter. It seems short notice. I am wondering how much negotiation I might have.

I would guess not much, if any at all. The last person I saw who let a deadline pass (in CA) had her license revoked. A lawyer is the right idea, but hurry up ...and make sure you find someone with lots of nursing board expereince- preferably in the state you have the issue with.
I haven't experienced an issue, myself ...but there is a section of the site filled with people who have:

Good luck to you.
thank you...I have spoken with a program representative. I'm waiting for the board to send me an official letter. No, I won't mess around with the board. It sounds doable and reasonable. Best wishes to you!
