Hi.
I'm wondering if anybody has any experience regarding the BON in PA. I am/WAS (I suppose is more accurate) less than one year from completing my 36-month PNAP contract and had a positive UDS (a family gathering had spiked punch & I did not know, tested next day). I was told (via phone, with case manager) my license would be suspended, a minimum of 3 years. I then received the legal paperwork and that said I could request a hearing with the BON, I guess to appeal the decision for suspension of my license. I have done that, figuring it cannot hurt to try.
Has anybody ever done this or know of another that has? Is it beneficial to have character witnesses, letters of reference? Is it even worth having the hearing/getting hopes up that MAYBE I can forgo the suspension, even if having to re-starting the contract from the start? Obviously a lawyer would be ideal, however, my financial situation does not allow for this. Again, just looking for any others' experiences or thoughts, not legal input.
Thanks in advance for any!

It seems like you have nothing to lose. Bring along folks that can verify that the punch was spiked without everybody’s knowledge or better yet bring the person who spiked it and have them admit they did it secretly

... and people are surprised that I never drink anything that I haven't poured myself. Or that I never put down my glass (clear).
I had a problem on a similar level - personal, not professional.
I've read where there may be some legal service avail to you for low cost or pro bono. Might be worth it to check into.
Good luck to you

Do you have any family that can help? Any savings? You will be losing out on much more finances within those 3 years than you would biting the bullet to pay for an attorney. Letters of reference can’t hurt. Sorry to hear about your situation. Best wishes.
Unfortunately I've tapped out every possible means of money (including family). But thank you all for the input & well wishes!
