Do you get training on SINCGARS prior to BOLC? I hear you need to know how to operate one for 9 line MEDEVAC simulation.

You receive instruction at BOLC on assembling the SINCGARS as well as using them for a 9 Line request. You are then tested on those elements, as well as disassembly and reassembly and functions checks of both M16s and M9s. It's not bad, you'll get plenty of practice.
do you get paid for BOLC phase 1?
I was active duty, so yes I did. If you are a Reservist doing the distance version, you'll have to ask your unit about that.

Sick-call, I just completed the phase 1 portion of BOLC. I submitted the forms needed to get paid for it because several people in my unit told me that currently they will pay for it. But, that isn't always the case because I know others in my unit didn't get paid.
