Hi all! Well i am sitting here nervously waiting for the next month and figured I might as well find out who else is the same boat as I. I am really nervous about my application and admittance. Any insight from current or former students about the programs, life in the program and admissions would be great. A little about me, I have 3.7 GPA in the courses they supposedly look at, roughly a 3.8 in the other courses that we had to list. Have been a CNA for nearly two years, and dream of being a nurse! Cant wait to meet any other applicants.

Good luck! It took me twice to finally get in but once you do, look out! Stick with it and you will get in but just know its very competitive. I am graduating in the fall of 2013 and am super excited. It is a great program but it was really overwhelming the first couple of semesters and now its finally all clicking. If you have any questions let me know and I will help where I can.
Great! Thank you so much for your input. Does my 3.7 give me a pretty good chance? Considering they only really look at grades. Also, if i was to be admitted, my husband has a job in Denver and will not be moving with so we will be commuting on weekends. Is this doable schedule wise?
Ummm the program is pretty time consuming and strenuous especially at the beginning. You may get a little overwhelmed having to travel every weekend but really its up to you to put in the work and if you think you can handle it then go for it. As far as the GPA, its tough to say but mine was about the same when I first applied. There is a chance you get in on the first try but don't feel discouraged if you don't because I would say at least 3/4 of my class didn't (including myself). Just keep at it, retake classes to up your GPA if you can and you will get in. Its still a bargain of an education even with an extra semester.

Hi,
I'm glad to find this thread. I also applied and am really looking forward to this next month (I'm guessing sometime after the 15 if they keep with the schedule they have had in the past?!?) I also have another good friend who applied. I wonder how many of us there are out there. Do you live in CO now? I live in Boise so that is easier for me. I'd love to talk more...
Take care and good luck to us both!

I love the city and love the thought of being a nurse! Are we suppose to hear back by the 15 of April? For some reason I thought it wasn't until May or June?

Moved to the Idaho State Nursing Programs for more of a response.
No, hope I didn't cause any confusion. I was told we would know by May 1st. However, in semesters past they have sent out letters a couple of weeks before the date so I am going to start looking around April 15th.
I got my acceptance letter for fall 2013! Anyone else out there? I'd love to say hi!
