Boise Nursing - Cardiac, emergency department?

Hi all,

I am an RN BSN, a little over a year out of school in Spokane, WA. My wife and I are planning on moving to Boise in the next 6 months and I've been trying to learn more about the medical community in Boise, so any help from anyone would be much appreciated. There are two major players in Boise, St. Luke's and St. Alphonsus. I don't know much about either one of them other than what I can learn from an "About us" tab on their websites. Has anyone worked for either of these groups? If so, what are you experiences?

About me: After graduating, I sort of fell into cardiac and it turns out I love it. I was lucky enough to get hired to a hospital that offers extensive cardiac care and have been working on a CICU stepdown/tele focusing on transplantation services and LVADs. I'd love to get into a CICU, so any information pertaining to St. Luke's or St. Als, in regards to cardiac, would be most helpful. Throughout school and even now, I had wanted to get into an ED at some point. The pace, the type of care, and the variation are all very appealing, so if you have details about the EDs, I'd love to learn more.

Thanks to all who reply and hope to hear from you soon!
