board rating............
2 weeks after i requested for my board rating worth p200 via express mail, i was able to get it at last! let see.... if you pay p200, you'll be able to get your board rating for 2 weeks. i was really wondering if that one piece bond paper with my board rating on it is worth p200!!!! i also thought that they'll will send it to my place via express mail, to my surprise, you have to get it yourself! talk about express mail! i understand that there's so many of us but if you pay, there's a big chance you'll get what you want earlier.
board certificate........
i asked one of the staff in prc this afternoon when i can get my board certificate. he told me that after i register, i should wait for about 3 to 4 months before i can get it!!!! what??????!!!
board questionnaires......
do you know that the june 2007 exam is already out in the market? i mean out infront of prc!!!! i was really surprised on what i saw! set a and b questionnaires!!!!
billionaire prc.......
i did a little math. i just estimate this.... so your free to give your comment, violent reaction whatsoever!
upon registration to be a able to take the nle, students must pay p900.
lets estimate this....
78,000 students x p900 = 70,200,000 (deduct let's say 2-4 million is alloted for the testing venue.)
for the envelop with metered stamp worth p17
p17 x 78,000 = 1,326,000
another documentary stamp for the requirements:
p21 x 78,000 = 1,638,000 (i forgot the exact amount. i paid more than p50 for that. but i just presume p21 to be modest.)
after passing the exam:
let's say 1/3 of nurses will use the express mail for the board rating:
p200 x 26,000 = 5,200,000
2/3 for the ordinary which is almost 3 months...
p75 x 52,000 = 3,900,000
the another doc. stamp for the oathtaking form and the board rating sheet
p21 x 31,000 = 651,000 x 2 = 1,302,000
oh i forgot, for notarize which is p50
p50 x 31,000 =1,550,000
total: p85,116,000
oathtaking: tickets
p400 (rn) x 31,000 = 12,000,000
p300 (parents) x 60,000 (parents, guardian, etc) = 18,000,000
now its time for the registration
p1050 x 31,000 = 32,550,000 for the id and others
grand total:
p147,666,000 (just for nursing)
grand total (more or less) x 2 ( for december exam)
note: this is just for nursing..... other profession not included!

that's a big heck of a money.. why don't they allot some of that for the renovation of their stinking building? and for faster transactions, why don't they make their equipments more modern to be able to meet all the needs of the licensees in an instant?
Sad truth: corruption in this country is endemic and its almost impossible to eradicate it.. :zzzzz

Actually that's really a good idea! With all the money they're getting every year! Millions of pesos from students and professionals! Modernization of PRC for faster processing and not to mention new painted building would be a good idea! :lol2:

I don't know if they'll follow the schedule for registration. But I know the schedule was not followed on getting the board rating.

our experiences in applying for the boards, getting our ratings, etc... are all part of the sad reality we have to endure in this government agency. its so sad that with all the money they earn with nurses, they can't even improve their service. where is all the money? who will help us? we can keep complaining but nothing ever gets done...
oh, and what about the mandatory PNA membership! we paid P300 for an annual fee... just to find out that is you registered last september that it was only good til december!!! then you have to renew on january!!! why did they charge P300?!?!? it should be valid for a year from registration!!!

Actually that's the part that they failed to explain. Every year you have to pay for it.
Oh by the way, did you receive a text message the day before the oath regarding the requirements for oathtaking? PNA registration is included!
