Blount Memorial LPN Program

Published

i have recently applied to blount memorials lpn program. i took my cat test earlier this week. i was just wondering if there is anyone on here that is also applying for the april 2010 class. also, if anyone has taken this program at blount memorial, i'd love to know what the program is like. any info would be greatly appreciated.

I passed the CAT last Wednesday and I am scheduled for an interview Thursday the 4th at 10:00 AM. I have been studying for the math portion of the interview all week and practicing interview questions. I have a friend who is currently in the program, she loves it. The LPN class #25 (one of the current classes) have a facebook - you could probably go on there and ask them questions :)

thanks for the info...my interview is on the 8th...i'm a little nervous about the interview questions, i'm not sure what to expect...good luck on your interview! hopefully we'll both make it! :D

My friend in the program said to study on math.com - Fractions/decimals/percents and such :)

Good luck

thanks for the info! how did your interview go? if you dont mind me asking, what kind of interview questions did they ask you? i know what to study for the math, but now i'm worried about the personal interview questions that i'll be asked. i just want to be as prepared as possible because i'm super nervous. :monkeydance:

It went well, they didn't ask very many questions. The lady who interviewed me and asked why I was interested in nursing and where I saw myself in 5 years. She works with my mom and asked me questions about her and the other woman who was with her (can't remember her name) is neighbors with my boss so they both got really off topic.

I have a feeling maybe they will call people for second interviews since they weren't very thorough, it's kinda weird that they would judge who makes a good nurse based on their math skills and not on why they would make a good nurse. Most nursing schools ask a ton of questions like your interviewing for a job.

They were very laid back and they were packed with people getting interviewed and people taking the math test. They were also doing the CAT test that was rescheduled from the snow so things were really crazy. I definitely wouldn't stress about the interview - Hope this helps :)

i had my interview today. i did really well on the math quiz. they really didn't ask me many questions. they just asked about my work experience & why i wanted to be a nurse. then they told me that they only except 24 ppl & that if i don't get in to try again. she said that they didn't want ppl to assume they were in since they won't officially know until april. did they say anything like that to you? just wondering bc i thought it went really well & then they said that. i hate having to wait til april to find out.

That's exactly what she said to me - I almost died when she said we would have to wait until April to find out. She told me if I don't get accepted in April to reapply in July for the October class. That's a long time to wait!

i'm glad that i'm not the only one she said that to. hopefully we'll both get in, but waiting til april is gonna be rough.

any one found out anything yet from blount memorial LPN. I got around 180 in CAT, not sure it would be enough!:crying2:
