Bloomfield College Nursing Fall 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi all,

Im new to this. I wanted to know who is applying for Bloomfield College Nursing program for the fall. What is your GPA and Teas score. Also if you guys have any info on thr program that you want to share please let me know :)

My GPA is a 3.4 ... I know an 82 is high but it's still nerve wrecking

Oh girl you are all the way in lol! But I deff do understand...

Oh okay good! I heard that too and I was told without the prerequisites done you couldn't apply but I'm not sure if that was just to make sure I got it done or actually policy.

Lol yes you definitely held your seat with that 82. Monday feels like a year away haha

Question... how are you guys certain we are being considered for the program.. it's annoying because there wasn't an application or anything so I get nervous on how they know who's applying

I was a transfer student and my major is Nursing. I asked them the same she said youre in as a Prenursing major, all that needs to be done on my end is complete requirements and make sure the teas scores are in the school system. Since I took my test with Bloomfield College they automatically received it. No application so Im guessing when you aplied for the school and declared your major to be nursing that was the application process.

Hi guys , you all are too cute! I remember these days like it was yesterday. I could barely get any sleep around this time because I was too busy tryin to figure out if I was accepted or not. Best advice I can tell you guys is to RELAX , you guys are going to give yourselves ulcers.

Oh sorry:), I probably should have started with sayin that I'm a senior in the program. So I know all about the stress you all are going through.

Yes, it's true they will add the nursing classes to your schedule before you get a letter. However , DO NOT keep checking webadvisor because it's like watching paint dry! I did the same thing , they added my classes literally a week before I received my package in the mail. If you don't get a package, don't freak out, you can still be accepted. Some people get accepted into the program and switch schools or change majors or other reasons and they don't accept the slot so they give their space to other candidates.

I got my package in the mail around the 16th but like I said earlier I already knew a week prior due to webadvisor.

If you guys want to know anything else, I'm here for you! Ask me anything or you can private message me, doesn't matter, I'll answer. So ask away.

Oh and another thing, there's no formal application process because technically you're not supposed to be able to sit for the TEAS without finishing the pre-reqs needed. Once you sit for the TEAS, that pretty much becomes your application. You're not going to take the TEAS unless you're applying for the nursing program, you know?

Also, you guys all have a pretty good chance of getting into the program with those scores. It really all depends on your competition this year. If most of the people are getting in the low 60s and you have a 70, your chances are extremely high. Good luck, keep me posted!

The wait is really stressful. I heard a lot of people scored in the 70 this year. They said they are making the calls on the 20th and today is the 17th and they still have not added the classes yet. Did you receive a call or you just got the package?

Congratulations for making it so far. How is it?

I didn't get a phone call , I just got the package. For me, the program isn't necessarily hard , but it is stressful because you will have so much to do all at the same time. The only class that was hard for me was Med- Surg 2(Adult Health 2), but you won't take that until spring semester of your junior year. But some people had difficulties in foundations, which is the first class you're going to take. So it all depends on the person.

Its driving me crazy honestly. And did yo rent or buy the books? (they are very expensive)

Well it's the weekend , you won't find out anythinq over the weekend so try to put it in the back of your mind.

I rented all of my books , it's a lot cheaper that way. There's only one book that I wish I would have just bought and that is the nursing research book because I'm going to need it again for next semester! And I didn't rent them from the school bookstore either, they are still overpriced there. I usually rent from amazon, chegg, or this other site that usually has really good prices. I can't remember the name off the top of my head.

yeah I know nothing happens over the weekend.

Someone told me I should buy the fundamentals book because I wil need it throughout the years also d you guys have a drugs book?

Thanks for everything
