Blood infusion question

Hey guys can someone explain this i am kinda confused

If you are recieving blood, why would a blood pressure drop?? I thought since you are getting fluid or in this case blood, your blood pressure would rise not drop! Can someone explain this!!

First thing that comes to mind is a transfusion reaction.

Look it up online, I'm sure there's tons of info about this.

A blood transfusion reaction could cause a drop in BP. Also, if the pt vasovagaled during the transfusion. Maybe they were nervous or uncomfortable and did something to overly stimulate their vagal nerve which would lower HR and BP.
