Blinn ADN Fall 2020

Published

I am applying to Blinn's ADN program for the Fall 2020 semester! I want to create this thread to see who else is applying with me! I am super nervous but also excited! T-minus 2 months until acceptance letters go out!

Any idea how many spots are available? If I added correctly, my application score should be around 34, but I’m questioning if that’s good enough

They said they accept between 40 and 50 people. That score is really good! I know someone that got accepted for fall 2020 with a 31.18 score.

That makes me feel better, thank you. I thought I was solid to get in to lonestar with 7.2 out of 8 but it doesnt look like that’ll be good enough, so I’m a little weary now ?

Well it sounds like you have good chances at Blinn! Where is Lonestar? They sound really competitive!

Tomball and CyFair are the campuses I applied for but they also have Kingwood, North Houston and Montgomery. We live an hour ish away from Blinn, Lone Star CyFair and Lone Star Tomball.. and all have good NCLEX pass rates.. so I’m not really partial to one, just whomever will have me ?. From what I was reading, LSC have 240ish spots and had over 600 applicants last year. I just had a friend graduate from the Blinn LVN-ADN transition, she had good stuff to say about the Blinn program, so I won't be bummed if I get passed over for Lone Star and end up at Blinn.

Yeah, I know Blinn has really good NCLEX pass rates! Blinn is only 15 minutes away from me so I’m really hoping I can get in! ??

So LSC has almost a 50% acceptance rate! Maybe you’ll even get in to both ?

Good luck!

Did you take Micro at Blinn? There is only 1 instructor win an opening for Summer 2 and I haven't heard any good reviews on her, so I'm a little worried.

No, I didn’t. I took it at another school. I actually got my Bachelor’s last year at a school in Idaho. I just moved here last August and now I’m trying to get into nursing school.
Hopefully it won’t be too bad at Blinn! Have you looked into LSC?

Oh dang! That sucks! Hopefully a class opens up again.
I got my Bachelor’s in Public Health but I’ve been wanting to be a nurse for so long so I still want to purse that. Thank you! ?

Has anyone here applied for Spring 2021?
