Blinn ADN Fall 2020

Published

I am applying to Blinn's ADN program for the Fall 2020 semester! I want to create this thread to see who else is applying with me! I am super nervous but also excited! T-minus 2 months until acceptance letters go out!

I have 29.6. I hope it’s enough because I have had to reapply and I don’t want to apply again! I also asked them how many points is the lowest that they have accepted and they said 27 so we shall see!

Hopefully, we will both get in. I'm hoping the pool is small this time due to all the changes to the process and classes because of corona.

Yeah I hope so too! Do you know what the changes are? I’m not sure if they are doing in person classes this semester or not. I think I heard that they are blended.

The schedule looks blended for the classes needed in semester 1 of the program... Does anyone know if that means like every other week, meeting 1x a week instead of 2...or? I like the sound of it but no clue what to expect from a blended class.

sorry for the late response to the original question, LOL I have tests this week and finals next. My semester is blended right now and it means one day you go in person while a set of students are online and then the other day of the week it switches sets of students that are in person vs online via zoom

To be honest I really like it because all the tests are taken in the comfort of your own home via honorlock proctoring. It definitely makes me feel more comfortable and have less test anxiety.

That doesnt seem so bad.. I did AP2 and Micro 100% online over this past Summer and loved it.. Much more comfortable to take tests from home.

Im just in math and government. They are my last undergrad classes besides what I would need to do for ADN to BSN providing I hopefully get into the program.

Thanks! Also, do you know how many points you had? Just wondering since you got accepted.

Hi! I was wondering if you ever took patho through Portage Learning?
If you did how was it?

I actually didn’t. I signed up for the class and I started taking it but it ended up being too much for me because I work full time. But the class didn’t look very hard! It was just time consuming because there’s a lot of reading.

Hi guys! I've just been reading through this thread looking for some hope. I was placed on the alternate list. Super nervous, but some of your post have made me feel a little better. I tried asking what my number was on the alternate list, but the lady wouldn't tell me...do you guys know what number you are or how many people are also on the alternate list?

I'm not sure how many are on the alternate list, I haven't seen anyone else say they are on it. Do you know how many points you had?

That’s weird they won’t tell you. Did they just not respond to your email? I was on the alternate list for this fall semester and they told me what number I was.
