Blinn ADN Fall 2020

Published

I am applying to Blinn's ADN program for the Fall 2020 semester! I want to create this thread to see who else is applying with me! I am super nervous but also excited! T-minus 2 months until acceptance letters go out!

I think it's 30.6 if they average retakes.

Has anyone looked into WGU BSN college station/bryan?

I looked into the WGU program.. They ask for some sciences I have expired, so I’m going to try to look into the SHSU that runs concurrently. I think I only need 1 class ??

Do you know how many points you had last time?

Hi guys...I’m applying for the Spring 2021 at Blinn too! I got put on the alternate list last semester as well...did anyone else get this letter? Someone told me it was pretty much an automatic acceptance for the next semester...what do y’all think?

It is actually not an automatic acceptance for the next semester. The nursing director told me that if I didn’t get in from the waitlist, then I would have to reapply for Spring 2021. Just curious what number on the waitlist you were last semester?

Yes, that's what the director told me too.  I was number 1 on the waitlist when the new semester began...so close, but no acceptance : (.  If you end up asking the director if being on the alternative list helps at all let us know if it's good news.

I don't know how many points I had last time. It must have been really close to yours. I retook Micro and took Patho, so I know I have at least 1 extra point.

I am using a different class for one of the prerequisites this time and that will increase my points by 0.8. I wish I would’ve realized to use that class before but I didn’t find out until just recently that I could use that class. Anyway, I hope we both get in this time!!

I honestly didn't ask what number I was on the alternate list. I asked how many people were on the list and I was told there were approx 20 people on the list so I didn't figure I would get bumped up. I have taken patho since then so I'll have an extra point and I'm going to retake the TEAS and aim for exemplary status to gain a few more points. I hope we all get in this round!!

Are you taking the TEAS online or did they open it back up for in person? I did mine online in July and the proctor was such a pain. I bet the poor lady at Blinn was so glad to be done with me

I hope so too! When are you going to retake the TEAS? And were you in the advanced category last time?

I was advanced last time but just by the skin of my teeth. I know I can do better....but I'm a nervous tester. I am taking this test proctored and I'm hoping that will ease some of my test anxiety. I don't think they have opened them up to in person exams yet. But maybe they will soon with the governor just announcing all the new openings.

I’m a nervous tester too! I had to take it twice. Were you able to get a point for each section last time?
