Bleeding Protocol

Hi all,

I need to do an evidence-based project on bleeding and the anticoagulated patient. I'm struggling a bit with this. I've researched facts, interventions regarding bleeds (including causes, what puts pt. at increased risk, labs to monitor, etc).. however, I feel like this isn't enough. It was suggested to try to measure the outcome of bleeding protocols, but I can't seem to find much research in any journals. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can present this topic? It's due at the end of the week, so I'm afraid I'll have to rely on literary sources. Thank you!!

You may want to look at military data. While you are dealing with a more homogeneous group of patients, couagulpoathies can occur in the presence of trama.

Have you considered doing something along the lines of HIT (Heparin Induced Thrombocytopenia)? There has been lots of recent research done on this lately.
