Biology 3 Winter 2011 Session, LAVC or any So Cali school - What do you think?

Hi everyone. This is my first post (on a new thread), so hopefully I'm doing this correctly. :) Anyway, I am a returning student and I'm getting ready to take Physiology this Spring 2011. Although I've taken Biology classes as an undergrad, it's literally been about 15 years ago, so I was thinking that maybe I should take Biology 3 during the winter session 2011 so that I can refresh my memory - do you think this is a good idea? I was about to enroll in LAVC, but the class is filled and there is no waitlist. I thought maybe I can possibly try to crash the class and add it? What do you think? How much Biology do you need to know for Phy? I've already taken Anatomy & Chem and got an A. So should I take it anyway? My hubby thinks I don't need to take it, but would like to hear from other pre-nursing/nursing students for their opinions. Where else are they offering Biology 3 (basic bio) aside from Los Angeles Valley College? Is it realistic that I'll be able to add the class even though it's full, if attend the first meeting & ask the prof? Any of your advice and/or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I say if you have the time it wont hurt. Depends on when you took anatomy and chem also.

Show up on the first day. I've added classes at Mission by showing up the first day.

Good luck

Show up on the first day, you never know. I took it winter term at LAVC. Instructor last name begins with K, good instructor. But that is one fast five weeks. If I were you I would take it in spring term for less stress.

Thanks. I took Anatomy & Chem within the last year. I'm about to take Physio this Spring 2011 and was wondering just how much Bio I need to know for that class. Hopefully not too much?!?!

@caliotter3: Was the 5 week pace too fast at LAVC? What grade did you end up getting, if I may ask?
