Biology help -- Applying concepts to life & career.

I am not suppose to be getting any sort of help for my biology class which I am doing through online/distance learning.. but I am so stuck.

Everyweek we have essays where we have to take an aspect of what we wrote about and apply it to our life or future nursing career.

This weeks topic is exceptionally challenging to me. I have sat here for 5 hours and I haven't gotten anything done. I have no idea how I can apply the surface-to-volume ratio of cells to my life or career.

Are there any nursing resources that have a lot of biology related stuff that I can look through?

This is by far the hardest thing about Biology for me! I am not a nurse yet so it's hard to find hypothetical situations in nursing!

Anyone who has had to do something similar, do you have any advice for me?

HINT: Think surface to volume ratio of a baby and then an adult. Then imagine each ones respective total body area exposed to the cold.
