BIO111 and BIO201 the same semester? Anyone done it?

Published

I plan on taking BIO111 and BIO201 this summer. Has anyone taken these courses in the same semester? Is it doable?

I wish Front Range would allow taking both at once. I am taking BIO111 this summer and 201 in the fall. Please let us know how it goes for you.

Since you are also taking BIO111 this summer maybe we should start a forum for study help and tips for the class!

That would be great. Which school do you go to?

Yes, but expect to work extra hard since BIO201 assumes you already know BIO111. Work ahead in BIO111 a lot.

If you are smart and work hard, you can get a 4.0 in both. :)

I'm taking it with CCCOnline. How about you?

Thanks SummitAP! I thinking working ahead in BIO111 will be very helpful!

I am taking it through CCC Online also. My home school is Front Range.

YAY! I want to get a head start and order the books, but I'm afraid if I order what was required for the Spring '10 course they will change it for the summer. Do you know when we might find out who the instructor is?

I don't know. I have always had to wait to find out. Is the book requirements for summer posted on the CCCS website yet?

It says you can click on the link for the Summer course requirements, but when you click on it the information is for Spring classes only.

I personally took 111, and 201 in the same semester, but this was back in Fall 06. I had already taken the prep for A&P so i was allowed to be in both. I think the 2 are not very bad to take together if you have a decent science background, or spend time studying. The classes diverge after the first few weeks, with the expectation that you really know the material in 201. Good Luck!!
