Bevill State Community College Summer 17' Applicants

Hello everyone

So I applied for the summer RN program at the Hamilton campus. Has anyone else applied? I'm sitting on eggshells already and the deadline was yesterday lol. Does anyone know how many people they accept?

I asked one of the people in the nursing department and she said it would just be counted as one point even if you had both a degree and certification. I didn't she that on their admissions sheet, which it should be. So now that I think about it they might give some points if we taken other classes at other schools. I now remember on the application it asked was I currently taking any courses at another school and I am. I'm taking micro at another school right now......wishful thinking....

Hey girlie, guess what I just decided to do?!? I changed my location to the Jasper campus. 😃 I chose Hamilton like I said before because of the dorms but you have to be a full-time student in order to live in them and I didn't want to have to add on any classes that I didn't have too. So if I get selected I'll be traveling 1:15 to and from my parents house everyday we have class.

Hello all

I am also applying to Bevill for the summer but my question is the gpa. Do they based your gpa on your core courses or is it the overall gpa? Thank you for any help that you can provide

I'm guessing the overall. They didn't specify that....well at least I didn't see it. Like I told Jmill90 I know a girl who got in last year with a 2.5 and I'm pretty sure that was her overall. What campus did you apply too?

To my understanding they count every class you've taken that's in the RN curriculum excluding psych 200 because it's a pre req to psych 210

Hey joycelyn1 this what I found on the site

A minimum of 2.5 GPA is required on a 4.0 scale based on the nursing required academic

core courses. The core college courses are English Composition 1, Intermediate College Algebra,

Anatomy & Physiology I, Anatomy and Physiology II, Microbiology, Human Growth &

Development, Speech and a Humanities Elective (Art or Music Appreciation, Philosophy, Ethics,

Religion, or a foreign language)

......well that's if they decide to give points for it even if not taken at their school.

Well micro doesn't count towards the points unless you took it at bevill.

But you probably won't be able to use towards your GPA because everything has to be done by the deadline
