Best/Worst list of Emergency Nursing

If you had to pick 1 thing as the best & 1 thing as the worst, what would you pick? I'm trying to decide if I should accept an ED offer. So bombard me with your favorite aspects & the worst aspects! Thanks so much!

Best: Helping actually sick people

Worst: Dealing with the rest. Which is sadly most of what we do. ( Or good depending on your sick sense of humor )

Best: Saving someone's life who actually has quality of life afterwards.

Appreciative patients - of any kind.

Worst: Pediatric codes.

Child abuse.

Annoying: Entitled, rude patients and their families.

Non compliant patients who are in the ED more than I am.

Best: the sense of family I have among coworkers

Worst: drunks/drug addicts and psych patients at full moon.
