Best Underwear to wear under scrubs??

Nurses General Nursing

Am I the only one having problems finding a pair of underwear that does not show when I bend over a patient or ones that don't leave a major panty line?

What kinds of panties work with scrubs?

Too funny triage, I needed a laugh today, and your post delivered. Thanks!!:lol2::lol2::lol2:

Okay, I am so tired; I didn't even notice triage's post was from 2006! More coffee, please, and thanks. But Brissie, commando? Haha, that made me snicker too. What happens if you rip your pants? Full moon? Yikes, better to wear something to work, don't yall think?

I absolutely love the Victoria's Secret Pink line of underwear. The designs are funky and match my crazy-colored bras (not that anyone can see those. I hope!) If you're wearing white pants, I'd say go with nude-colored underwear or whatever is closest to your skin tone. Never wear white under white, it's very obvious, and if you don't have any nude color underwear, you can go with black, but it may sometimes be noticeable. Boy shorts are really comfy as long as your butt doesn't hang out on the bottom, LOL. Definitely not a thong fan; I feel like I have a constant wedgie with those things!

I wish some girls from my work would read this thread. I am FOREVER telling someone who just bent over in front of me, "I can see the stripes (butterflies, polka dots, etc.) on your uns." It makes me CRAZY. We have a nurse that is about 4'10," and her butt (I'm not lying) is at LEAST 30" wide. She wears see thru scrub pants with the biggest, boldest patterns. That being said, a BLACK thong with your see thru orange scrubs isn't going to work, and neither is your black bra (especially if you are pregnant).

I agree with all the posters that said flesh-colored uns with "boy cut" legs. My problem is finding uns that are tall enough so that my belly isn't cut in half and causing a nasty line.

A cotton bikini from VS is all I have ever worn. Very comfortable for those long 12-hour shifts.

This might be crazy, but my clinical scrubs are so thin that I wear black, cut-off leggings, the kind that ends right below your knees, under my pants, along with underwear, of course. Works great; it keeps my pants up instead of falling down (no matter what size I got, these scrubs seemed to keep falling down), it doesn't get too hot, and you can't see any panty lines. I just feel so much more "secure" with the leggings.
