When do you guys consider to be the best time to apply for a job; in terms of even sending/giving your resume to a few floor managers? I ll be done with my program in December, so I was thinking of sending/giving resumes to some managers during my last semester of school [Aug-Dec] and telling them why I am interested in working in their specific floor/hospital.
What do you guys think/suggest?

I graduate in May. I started applying in early February and am going on interviews now. There are a lot of job fairs now for graduate nurses. Not much goes on in my area for December graduates. I would plan to start applying in September or October.
Good luck!
Actually fill up job applications or sending resumes?

Larger hospitals may have new grad hiring periods - I know the ones in my area hire about three months out. Good luck!
I mailed in my resumes to hospitals that wanted that and filled out applications for those that wanted that. Right now, there are several job fairs and graduate dinners going on. A lot of my classmates have secured jobs and I am pretty certain that I will have the offer for the one I want next week.
