Best study guides for pre-nursing

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

What are some of the study guides and/or books you recommend for studying for various pre-nursing (or nursing, for those who want to get a jump start!) classes such as, A&P, micro, HESI, etc.

And how do you study? Flashcards, study-buddy, songs lol, what makes you remember the material?

I really like the Made Incredibly Easy series. They have books for anatomy & physiology, including a visual book. I like how they explain things. They also have a ton of books for nursing school, so if you like their style in prenursing, you can use their books through NS as well. I tend to use flash cards and rewrite notes in my own words. For longer concepts, such as homeostatis (receptor, control center, effector organ) I will not use a flash cards but study from the my rewritten notes. But for vocabulary or something I use flashcards. This was especially helpful in microbiology. I hope this makes sense lol there is method to my madness.
