i would like you to recommend us a town to go, we are looking for small beauty town where we can see beautiful leaves, nice people, good food and things to see.

Mid October to early November is a beautiful time around here. My favorite time of year as well. Good luck to you. :)

I am not in Maine, so couldn't advise you too well but it is a beautiful state. Best to go there when before the winter settles in or else it's too chilly. The capital is nice too. :)

Generally the further north in New England you go, the sooner the leaves peak- and they peak a little later on the coast than inland, since the coast tends to be a few degrees warmer. Columbus Day weekend is usually when the leaves are peaking southern NH & southern Maine along the coast. There are usually lots of festivals and such during peak leaf-peeping time too. Portsmouth NH usually has a chili fest in early October, Sunday River has their annual wife carrying contest (seriously!) and some kind of fall foliage festival, there's usually an Ocktober Fest or two- if you do a search for fall foliage festivals in Maine and plan your trip around those dates, you should be golden as far as seeing the leaves!

ooh... I just did a quick google and found this link, it may be helpful to you: http://www.visitingnewengland.com/mainefallcalendar.html#anchor841875
