best school for RN to get BSN?

Published

Hello everyone.

Well, I think I am going to finally bite the bullet and get my BSN. I'm a Peds Nurse in NY.

What is the best school to go to? I think I will get my master's too and perhaps be a nurse educator. I'm not sure though, I'm open to other ideas.

How are NYU and Pace? Good program? Hard to get into?

I'd really like to go to a good school.

thanks.

Suny Downstate have a very good program, you can get your Masters there also

Pace no longer accepts applicants. they will have a online program in 2007

this is the email they sent me

" As an RN with an associate degree or diploma, you would be eligible to

apply

to the RN/BS (RN Track) program or the RN/BS/MS accelerated track.

Unfortunately, at this time, both programs are closed to admission. The

curriculum is being revised with the intent of making this an online

program. We expect this program to be available fall 2007.

RNKay - Yes, I heard about Downstate. It's just not convenient for me to get to. I went to an information session in the Spring.

Bisson - Ah, how interesting. Thanks for that info

OH Bisson that is so great, I will try to think about that too.

I attend Suny at Buffalo, and the RN/BSN is now designed specifically for a working nurse. You may want to check it out.
