I have to retake the NCLEX, and I was wondering if anyone know of a CD that has questions just like the NCLEX for RN. I feel I know the content, but I need to improve on test taking techniques. I bought the Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN examination book. However, after spending some time answering the questions in the book, it seems obvious to me what the right answer is. I want something more chalenging... like questions that we saw on the NCLEX. Their CD appears to be a little bit better as far as questions go. Anyone knows what the latest and greatest for the NCLEX is? I don't want to waste my time reading books, I just want to buy a CD and do practice questions. Thanks...

Hello:
I used Saunders, Comprehensive Review NCLEX-RN Examination. It has a book and CD. I got my results today and I passed. Hope this helps.
Congratulations! I bought the Kaplan book on Strategies 2010 for NCLEX. I really liked it. I'm also doing practice questions from the Saunders CD. I hope I pass this time. Thanks for replying...

I think it is good that you got the kaplan strategies book, i thought it was helpful, if you got the content down you pretty much need test taking strategies and that is the book to get, it also has practice questions on the back and in the cd, i didnt use the cd and just did like 50 of the questions on the back of the book. good luck!

Hi There!
Towards the end of my study regimen, I found Exam Cram RN and Kaplan 2010 Strategy book.
It was like two peas in a pod and both helped me with learning how to attack the real NCLEX questions. Plus, Exam Cram has a simulated CAT test so that made it even better! I'm a cheap-o so I stayed at Barnes & Noble for hours just answering the questions in each chapter. A good book is a free book!!! :chuckle
The Exam Cram has test questions that are very similar to NCLEX in that it asks one sentence questions with answer choices that are have one or two words. Saunders was okay, but I get distracted very easily and their questions went on like, FOREVER!!!! Ack! It was great content review, but I needed a tool to help me practice actual NCLEX questions.
Good Luck with Studying and hopefully you'll find the resources you need to make it to the big time!!!

Will the NCLEX ask essay questions? if so, how should they be answered?

At the moment there are no essay style questions on the exam.
