Best Place to purchase books

Published

I'm signed up for A&P I, and General Psychology this fall, and was shocked at the prices of the books at the college books store. I was planning on buying used books, but can't seem to find them. Can anyone recommend a website that may sell the books at a cheaper price? right now, i'm looking at spending $150.00 on the A&P book package at the college book store.

Thanks,

Jason

go to bookprice.com...this compare prices for you! You can order online. When do you start school? it may be too late to order online, but this is usually the cheapest route for nursing books, even if it's just pre- req's since most people keep their books for reference purposes. We have a Barnes and Noble bookstore and they are outrageous!

I'll have to check out that bookprice.com

I usually check, Amazon, Half.com, eBay, Barnes & Noble, and Craigslist.

I'm starting A & P tomorrow morning.

I am waiting on my acceptance to Chamberlain, and thought i would take care of some of the Pre-Req's while i'm waiting. I checked out Book Price, and ended up ordering from bookbyte.com.

Once i get settled into class, i'm going to start posting my notes, and study tips on my web site. hopefully they will be useful to some.

thanks,

Jason

CHAMBERLAIN!!! Are you in the STL area? GO CARDS!!!

Yes, I'm in St. Louis

I applied for the October '09 class, but decided to take some classes at St. Louis Community College also.

Are you attending Chamberlain?

Try http://www.gettextbooks.com, I recently found the site and it searches most of the major book websites and gives you a page of results, including shipping costs in the total. Also, it includes the condition of the items listed, and it compares what would be your best option (ie a used book for $90, but a brand new one for $100, it highlights the new book to you as the best option). The only problem I have found is that it pulls up eBay buy-it-now, but not traditional eBay autions. So, when I went to buy textbooks, I would search at gettextbooks.com and eBay at the same time. Good luck!

campusbooks.com! Enter the ISBNs and it compares all the major sites for you.

I've had a lot of success with http://www.textbooks.com. They have comparable or better prices to many other textbook websites I've visited. Also, I'm not sure of the details, but if you purchase books at that site through your Bank of America account in a special program available on their online-banking website, you get a 10% discount and 5% cash back in your account. They have a guaranteed buy back price (with free shipping to them) and excellent customer service, as far as I've dealt with them. I've bought several books from them and never had a single problem. Plus, they have free shipping with no minimum purchase on all items I've found.

http://www.dealoz.com

its like a google search engine but for textbooks!

gather all websites that sell txtbooks for u and even put in the order of prices..

it also let u know if the website have discount.

I use that every semester. saves a lot of money and time.
