I'm starting A & P tomorrow morning. I am waiting on my acceptance to Chamberlain, and thought i would take care of some of the Pre-Req's while i'm waiting. I checked out Book Price, and ended up ordering from bookbyte.com. I'm signed up for A&P I, and General Psychology this fall, and was shocked at the prices of the books at the college books store. I was planning on buying used books, but can't seem to find them. Can anyone recommend a website that may sell the books at a cheaper price? right now, i'm looking at spending $150.00 on the A&P book package at the college book store. Thanks, Jason

I had my entrance exam yesterday, and it took just under 4 hours to complete. Some of the areas did not count towards the nursing exam, which I am still wondering why I had to take the tests, but that is for another day. My main concern going into the test was math, since i've been out of school for quite awhile. I'm a visual learner, so I did some searching on the internet, and found http://www.teachertube.com. i went down the list of topics (listed below), and watched multiple videos on each topic until i was certain i got the main concept. I'm sure they have videos on other topics, but i was mainly concerned about math. Suggested Topics of Study (for Math) Algebra (simple equations, solving for the value of x) Decimal to ration Decimals divided Division and Subtraction Division of Fractions Multiplication of Fractions Subtraction of Fractions Addition of Fractions Meter to Kilometer Ounces to Gallon Ounces to Pints Percent to decimal Percentages Ration-Proportion Roman Numerals If i can remember anything else, i will update my post. Not a big deal at all By far the drug test i had to take while in the military were the most embarrassing. we had to stand in the middle of the bathroom, and pee in a cup. luckily this was only during the in-processing stages.

I got my EMT-B, and it was a big deciding factor in becoming a Nurse. Due to military obligations, i had to put my nursing on hold for about 7 years. I'm hoping to start this fall, or next spring. This is my second career, and is a big step in the opposite direction from what I'm currently doing. Right now i'm a programmer/business analyst. I really like the technology part, but nursing is something that i have always wanted to do, and now i have the opportunity. If this is something you really want to do, go for it! Jason

This is my opinion/recommendation Both of you need to attend some couples counseling sessions. This problem is not going to go away on it's own. Some professional guidance will help you find some happiness. Along with counseling, you need to reassure her that work is work, you are committed to her, and your family. Jason

If you are working with a recruiter, don't feel guilty with calling them until you get an answer. I'm still waiting for my application to be accepted for RN/BSN this fall or next spring. But in my current field (IT), we deal with recruiters all of the time. They get paid for getting you hired. If you are interested in a position, keep pushing them until you get at least a phone interview. Good Luck! Jason
