Best Paying Travel Specialties Before Covid

Hi All!

Fellow travel nurse here- out of curiosity, what specialties do you find pay the best as a traveler? I already know #1 is likely ICU, but I notice at time Med-Surg is very high especially during Covid. Just curious as to what you all think regarding best paying specialties BEFORE Covid. Any input is interesting!

OR probably paid better than ICU overall, with the possible exception of CVICU. ICU is a cost center for hospitals, while OR is a profit center central to the entire hospital economic system. A single missing OR nurse can cost a lot, leading to willingness to pay more to get an OR traveler.
