I'm a first quarter nursing student. I've read many posts that say they use NCLEX review books to study for the school exams. Currently I am in Nursing Core Concepts, Pharmacology 1, Psychosocial Behavior, Lab, and clinical. We had our first pharm quiz. I got 13/10, 4 extra points were given for poorly worded questions. Even though I did well I did not feel comfortable with the critical thinking questions. I looked at a Saunders NCLEX review and tried to find practice questions. I couldn't figure out how to find questions related to what I'm learning. How do other students use these books, or do I need to wait until I'm further into the nursing program to use these books. Also, the CD and website for my book have practice NCLEX questions, but there are usually only 10 per chapter and seem very easy compared to the questions our instructor asked. Any recommendations? I also want to do this for my Core Concepts and Psychosocial class.

I really like the Prentice Hall Reviews & Rationales series. If you want one that covers everything, NCLEX-RN Review - NSNA/Thomson Delmar Learning is the best one I've found. I use it to study for my exams.

OhiostudentRN,
I loved that Website and was using it to study, but now it wants a username and password. Did something change? Do I need to sign up or something?
Please help I loved the questions and the review.
Sorry Joni's mom - I'm having the same problem. Emory must now require the password so that only their students can us it. I ordered it from B&N under $50. Our nursing tests 2nd year are NCLEX style and I like being able to choose gastrointestinal questions only or whatever you are studying that test. I think it will be really valuable for NCLEX time too! June 2007 for me! How about you? :mortarboard:
