To the nurses serving in the military,
what's the best or most interesting job/assignment that you've gotten to do?

Honestly the people and the mission make the job. For example, my wife evacuated Afghan civilians from that country at the end of 2021. I got to represent the U.S. at an international medical conference. I have friends training Ukrainians right now.
From what I've heard (I've not done it), the best medical job in the Air Force is for nurses is as the critical care (ER or ICU) nurse or CRNA on the Special Operations Surgical Team (SOST). That has to do with the fact that you deploy from a civilian hospital and avoid the toxic base medical group culture.
