I worked at Evergreen several years ago it was a decent organization to work for and I'd consider going back if I were in the area again. They like to promote from within, and to retain staff. Not all units were equal though - most were pretty good, a couple were amazing, and there was one I hated. Generally staffing levels were decent - on my home unit we had 1 RN and 1 CNA for every 4-6 patients, which was very comfortable for the acuity, and we could generally bring in sitters/extra staffing if we really needed it.

Hi there,
I am currently waiting for approval of my WA RN license and I am starting to look at jobs. Which hospitals are best to work for as a new grad? I am also aware of the RN Residency programs. And if you are working at any of the hospitals you recommend, what is your experience like? Typical shift? Etc.
Thanks!
