best city in US

Hi! I'm a 28 yr old doctor who's currently enrolled in a nursing school here in my country. I would like to ask what do you think is the best city/state in the US where i can start out on my own? I don't know what to expect when I go there and have some anxieties on living alone without my family. Thanks for your help. :rolleyes:

First of all, do you have any idea of what specialty that you would prefer? Do you want a teaching hospital or a non-teaching hospital? Do you prefer a large city or a small city? Do you like snow? Do you prefer living near an ocean? Do oyu prefer the desert or the mountains? These are things that you should decide on first to help narrow down your selection. Ther are 50 states and each one has its good points and bad points, but if you can narrow down what you are looking for, it will make it much easier for you.
